Vision and Mission

VISION

Integrated sustainable development of water resources through participatory water management, water-related disaster management to protect the lives and property of the people and to ensure food security through the development of irrigation systems and the development of socio-economic conditions of the people.

 

MISSION

Under the strategic planning for contribution to climate change, in accordance with the development of flood control, drainage and irrigation system, river erosion, land reclamation, removal of salinity and the coordinated coastal area management, ensuring food security, poverty alleviation and water related disaster management; Increasing public involvement through active participation in integrated water resources management; Development and management of human resources by increasing knowledge and skills with advanced and modern training; Modernization of flood prediction and warning system ensures modernization of integrated infrastructure, modernization of integrated ICT infrastructure, strengthen financial management and initiatives for fundamental research; And to undertake all types of initiatives and activities to establish Bangladesh Water Development Board as the best center of water resources sector.
